Machiavelli and the European State System: An Analysis
This three page undergraduate paper examines the ways in which the statecraft of Renaissance Italy drove forward the evolution of the European state system. It is evident that in carefully crafted written works such as The Prince and The Discourses, the famous Italian philosopher Niccolo Machiavelli discussed issues of political rule and provided historical examples to his readers in order to demonstrate the validity of the lessons he had learned while analyzing politics and how it affected events.
